About Us
Sastatus is an independent information portal created by S.N Digital (pvt) Ltd. We perform researches, verification, and creating of clear guidelines on government grants, bursaries, and funding programs in South Africa in order to be sure that no citizen of South Africa misses any government grants and bursaries due to the lack of knowledge.
Helping South Africans to receive government grants independently from their education, Internet access, and government system knowledge.
Our Story
Our idea to create Sastatus was born out of frustration from the fact that even with one of the biggest social security programs and 18 million beneficiaries, millions of people are still unaware of government grants and bursaries due to the lack of information about them.
Government websites and circulars are aimed for the benefit of government employees but not for the benefit of beneficiaries. It is very bureaucratic, confusing and not always updated. In case of any policy changes, like introduction of biometric verification by SASSA or funding model change by NSFAS, most of the time applicants know nothing about it until their application is denied or grant is cancelled.
The S.A.N Digital (Pvt) Ltd. was registered in 2025 in order to solve this problem. The website Sastatus was created in order to provide clear guidelines on all programs that are verified by the official sources and always updated in case of any policy change.
